Modern cottage's designers spend a lot of time thinking about how people really live in a house and use its space. We created large open spaces where homeowner's and their guests can come together (community living). We created private, intimate spaces for bedrooms and home offices. We created traffic patterns within the house that make sense for the way people live today.

We let the outdoors in with expansive windows for views. We let the indoors out with decks and open spaces. Large expanses of windows allows daylight to flood the house reducing lighting energy needs while increasing the feeling of spaciousness throughout the entire home. Clean lines, open spaces, usable living spaces, and a modern asthetic make our homes a comfortable, modern, cottage.

Better Indoor Air Quality
Americans spend 70-80% of their time indoors. Modern Cottage pays extra attention to controlling the factors effecting the indoor air quality of our homes. Our super insulated pre-fab homes eliminate uncontrolled air infiltration stopping outside dust, pollen, dirt, and the moisture that encourages mold, from getting inside.

Our whole house ventilating system gently and constantly delivers humidified and filtered fresh air toevery room while exhausting stale air directly outside. We build with low or no voc paints, sealers, and composite materials to eliminate irritants from the interior of thehouse. The result is a draft free, humidity controlled, superior indoor air quality that's healthier for you and better for thehouse.
